Loco Logos And Other Designs

Hey World Wide Web I'm back with my 12th blog post! You wouldn't believe who the Class Of 2025 interviewed this time, so let me tell you. She runs her own business, Phi Design in her home in Brooklyn! Her name is Mireya and she went to Art Center Of Design in Pasadena, California to get her degree in fine arts. She at first was pre law but switched to graphic design because she was more interested in designing. That's how she got her second degree. Now she designs things like logos, signage, book covers, websites and more. You wouldn't have Facebook if it wasn't for a designer! One thing she told us is that there is a distinct difference between art and design. Art is for show or even entertainment but design is something you make for a purpose. For example the Mona Lisa was a painting for a showing or entertainment. On the other hand design is like those iPhones and Androids everyone's using. Graphic design isn't it's only kind.  There are several types of the design like those Adidas shoes you have was made by a product designer. A peice of advice she told us was that we're diverse individuals and we are gonna be interested in a range of things, so it's okay to change your mind. There is no doubt that I can't wait to see who the Class Of 2025 will be interviewing next. As soon as you pull up the internet make sure to read my blog!

Educreating A New Post: Chris

This week's interview was very cool! We interveiwed a computer programmer named Chris. He went to UC Berkeley California which is a private school, and got his degree in computer science. Also he is the co-founder of Educreations. Educreations is an app where anyone can easily create video lessons. He created Educreations especially for iPad because he wanted to enable people to create their own videos. A interesting fact is the building where they are located provides a ping pong table, a gym and a snack bar for their employees. What inspired him to make Educreations is the help that his friends needed.Another inspiration was his sixth grade teacher that encouraged him to be interested in computers. In order to make Educreations he had to use code. Code is something you use to make programs and apps. He says that code is just like another language. After that interview I am kind of interested in computer programming now! Tune in to my next blog!

Our Friend And Pharmacist Samantha!

Today we had a live interview with Samantha. Samantha works as a pharmacist at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur Illinois. In order to become a pharmacist she had to get her degree she went to Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. In college she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy which is a graduate degree. She also got degrees in Biology and Medical Science. She had to go to specific classes to go to Pharmacy School. Soon after she got out of college she was working as a pharmacist at a busy hospital. She is practically a medical safety officer that takes orders from nurses and doctors. She also has to make sure all the patients are getting the right medicine. In order to do that she takes the medicine orders from nurses and doctors and gets them to the patients to help them get better. Around the clock she has to remember to stay calm or she will mess up the patient's medicine. A reason for that is because she has to get the correct medicine for all the patients waiting. I learned more about pharmacists then I could ever imagine. Thanks for reading and tune in for my next blog post!

Assistant Director Of Media: Jackie!

This time we interviewed Jackie who works at Clemson University. Jackie works as an Assistant Director of Student Media at Clemson. She achieved this position by going to South Carolina University. As she attended this college she got her degree in journalism. The reason she got her degree in journalism was an editorial she wrote about the pep rallies. A guy named Scott was her inspiration to start journalism and she thinks we should find a mentor in college like him. Soon after college she got a positions as Assistant Director at Clemson University. Part of her job is to critique all of the student's work. Also her job is sometimes complicated because the technology she uses sometimes backfires. This interveiw was interesting because Jackie helps with tv shows and radio broadcast. Make sure you check out my next blog post!
